Wool fleece is very soft and lightweight, making it a cozy choice on its own or as a warm mid-layer underneath a waterproof shell. Approx. fabric weight: 280 g/m².
Boiled wool is also soft and flexible, but heavier, denser and more structured, offering more protection from wind and light rain. Approx. fabric weight: 420 g/m².
Both are breathable, temperature-regulating merino wool layers that will keep little ones nice and toasty in cooler temperatures. The best choice simply depends on whether you prefer a lighter, fluffier layer or a denser, more protective one.
Merino wool is naturally dirt and odour resistant, which means it doesn't need frequent washing.
