Brand Partners & Sustainability

We believe children’s clothing should be made ethically and with materials that make sense — for everyday life and for the world they grow up in. This means choosing natural fibres, experienced makers, and production we can confidently stand behind.

Wildkind carefully selects and retails premium European brands that share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethical production. Every item is purchased directly from our brand partners and shipped from our location in British Columbia, Canada.

Certified organic merino wool

Our partners use high-quality GOTS-certified merino wool sourced from responsibly managed farms. The sheep are raised without mulesing, and the fibre is processed without harsh chemical finishes.

Merino is renewable, biodegradable, and long-lasting — performing naturally without plastic coatings or synthetic blends.

Our trusted European brand partners

We chose Disana and Engel because they have spent decades perfecting natural fibre clothing. Their commitment to organic materials, ethical production, and timeless design aligns with our belief that children's clothing should be made to last—not just for one season, but for many adventures and, ideally, for another family to enjoy afterwards.

Disana is a German family-owned manufacturer specializing in organic merino wool clothing for babies and children. For over 40 years, they have been creating high-quality wool garments using sustainably sourced natural fibres and responsible manufacturing practices.

Engel Natur is a German family-owned manufacturer that has been producing natural fibre clothing since 1930. They are internationally recognized for exceptionally soft organic merino wool and wool-silk garments.

Both brands are known for:

  • decades of experience working with natural fibres
  • GOTS-certified organic merino wool and merino wool-silk garments made to rigorous environmental and social standards
  • sustainably sourced, non-mulesed merino wool
  • environmentally responsible production in Germany

As we grow, we look forward to partnering with additional brands that share our commitment to exceptional quality, sustainability, and timeless design.

Packaging

Orders are packed using minimal materials. We avoid unnecessary plastic and use biodegradable or recyclable packaging.

Longevity over novelty

The most sustainable garment is the one that continues to be worn.

When selecting pieces for our collection, we focus on:

  • timeless colours
  • functional fits
  • durable construction

Our goal isn’t to encourage more consumption, but to help families buy less — choosing well-made pieces that can be worn often and passed along.
